5 Days of Fever, 3 Kids, Healed Without Medicine

With the rise of AH1N1 and dengue cases, parents would surely panic when their children get sick.
My eldest son was the first one to have fever straight for 5 days. I have learned not to panic anyway. Besides, there were no symptoms of infection. I still do the things that I do while continuously doing pranic healing on him. On the fifth day, thinking it was not a physical disease, I texted his father to bring him to Ka Esting. Meanwhile, my second son went home that day, also down with fever.

Because his father trusts the medical doctor, he brought him first to a pediatrician. However, I requested him not to give the kids flu shot should the doctor suggest. He didn't reply but he agreed. So there were no flu shot and there were no antibiotic or any medicine prescription, maybe because he knew I would just tell him to return the antibiotics to the drugstore (like I did the last time). The only drug I allowed was paracetamol which I seldom gave.

He was not able to bring the boys to Ka Esting so I did. Ka Esting whispered some mantra to a glass of water which was used to test for earth elementals. My son said it tasted bitter, which meant the presence of earth elementals. Then, Ka Esting got another glass of water, this time without whispering the mantra. Again, my son said it tasted bitter. Ka Esting said, "Oh, there's no elemental, just really a bad taste because of fever." In other words, he did not apply the usual healing ceremony for elementals. He just did a little massage and we went home.

At home, I continued healing the kids. The next day, my eldest son no longer had fever but he still underwent CBC and platelet count for the next four days. On Monday, he got clearance from the doctor that he was fine. The doctor could only say, "Jesus loves you because He healed you." And that is RIGHT.

Meanwhile, my second son had fever for the next four days. He also underwent blood test on a daily basis. I continued to do pranic healing, thoroughly cleansing his blood and entire body, energizing the major centers of the body, and stimulating his bone marrow to produce enough platelet. His platelet count never went beyond the normal range!

As for my daughter, she was not spared from the daily blood extraction but she was the first to get healed. She only had fever for two days and her energy was restored thereafter, also with pranic healing. What did the doctor say? Just simple viral infection.
Today, their father forwarded me the text message of the doctor saying my second son is fine. Isn't it amazing?

What did the doctor do? Well, she did the daily blood test request, read the result and informed us on the same.

What did their father do? He took care of bringing the kids to the hospital everyday for the blood extraction and for check-up.

And what did I do? I patiently did healing on them at home, spending hours doing healing and wiping them with cold towel.

The healing process was perfect with the participation of each one of us. The doctor's Western medicine complemented my energy healing. As parents, we complemented each other by doing what each of us can do.

And for one week, there was HARMONY.

Financially Independent Even at 92

(originally posted on Facebook on July 22, 2009)

My grandmother has always been my best example of a financially-independent person. She did not finish primary school, was not born with a silver spoon, but is the richest among all of us. She pays utility bills on time, makes sure the cupboard is always full, buys her medicine, and continuously sends gifts and donations to every occasion.

Two weeks ago, she requested to be confined to a nearby hospital. There was no worry on her face as to the hospital bills. She knew she could pay it even without the senior citizen discount card. And she did.

She has no financial debt. ZERO! Everybody goes to her to borrow money, and seldom does she refuse to lend. She charges no interest and many have taken advantage of not paying her back. Despite not being paid, she doesn't mind.

My dear friends, she was just an ordinary vendor of "ikmo", the leaves that goes with betel nut used by folks in chewing. She has no big business of any sort, neither was she a politician nor a syndicate leader. What is her secret? That I will feature in my next video lesson.

Thanks to Monina for taking this picture last week.

On My 41st Birthday

(This was originally posted on Facebook on July 11, 2009)

Tears are falling as I write this note. Weeks before, I had decided to be silent about it; that I would spend this day serving and serving and serving. The silence was broken with the flow of greetings from different media. For my Facebook friends, the system made it sure that friends remember me; but for the offline friends and relatives, it's amazing how they were able to mark the day to visit and greet me.

My 35th birthday was my turning point. It was the "noisiest" with singing and drinking. The noise reflected the turmoil within me. But it was the peak of my "human" existence. I have transformed since then and walked the road less traveled. (oh yes, I have always been walking the road less traveled after I graduated from high school, but this new road less traveled is somehow related to the book of the same title by Scott Peck). Gradually, I have realized myself as a soul with a purpose. So each year since then, I made sure I am growing as a soul and not just as a person.

I have served the people for the longest part of my life; yet it was only after my 35th birthday that I feel I am truly serving. From agrarian reform and rural development work, I now want to teach and reach more people to have a positive outlook in life. Things like unconditional love, financial independence, parenting, new age education are some of the things that I want to be of help. I have seen the pains of life and I want others to overcome the same.

The whole day today, I was quietly working at the seminar-workshop for teachers and parents of Silang. It was organized by municipal councilor Gigi Loyola and SILAY of which I am now a member. The purpose and vision fo SILAY is not far from what I want to do and I thank again the Universe for the alignment it has done and it is doing for the materialization of my goals.

I don't know how many more years are left for me in this lifetime. In my marathon to fulfil my purpose in life, I humbly ask each one of you to support me in whatever way you can. There are kids out there who are not able to pursue or finish primary and secondary education. I know you can help them, and together, our efforts will make their dream happen.

Finally, let me thank all of you for being a part of my life.

To my batchmates, thank you for reconnecting. I never felt this when we were in high school then. During those years, I felt you only knew me because of my scholastic standing. But now, I have become a part of you when you allowed my light to penetrate you. If you find me talking in vague words, someday I know you'll understand.

To my friends in the non-government work (NGOs), thank you for all those years of struggles and growth. My desire to serve took its roots during those years of dangers and penniless days. I may now be in a different path but I believe we still share the same vision - that of a country with people enjoying freedom and free from oppression. Someday, all these paths shall meet and we shall rest together in one destination, not in the abyss but in the great banquet prepared by our collective Self.

To my co-workers, clients, and other friends, I have learned a lot from you. Time has changed and I need to adapt. You were the result of how I was able to overcome the new face of change. You truly have served your purpose for being a part of my life in this present time.

Sa inyong lahat, maraming salamat!

From Homeschooling to Schooling Other Kids

Parents would always want to send their children to the best school that they believe would offer the best education for their children. But will the best and most expensive school understand and adapt to the uniqueness of every child?

I have three kids and they are all different. While my two other kids can adapt to the system of a formal school, my eldest son is already having difficulty understanding how the Philippine school system works. It simply does not fit him.

Instead of blaming him, the school system, or myself, I tried to understand and support him the best way I could. This led me to consult him of the possibility of homeschooling again.

The Consultation Process

Years ago, I tried the home study program when Tala, my eldest son, was in Grade III. We had a lot of difficult experiences then. I couldn't get him to focus and finish all the work. Because I am his mother, making excuses and shouting at me had been very easy for him. We were in the hate-peace cycle for over seven months. When I got a job in a call center, I had to hire a private tutor so he would finish the home study course.

He went back to school (formal school, I mean) after a year of studying at home. He was not the studious type, though he only missed his classes when he was sick. In Grade VI, his grades consistently registered just above the passing mark (line of 7 in our grading system).

Then we talked about homeshooling. He agreed.

Visualizing the Solution

How will I go about the process of secondary homeschooling this time? This was a question that I tried to solve through mental programming, that is, visualizing Tala in a learning system that would fit my design. The program was registed in the invisible and materialized with the discovery of an open high school in our town which is on its first year of implementation. Remember that DepEd (Department of Education) does not recognize home study program here in the Philippines. So any parent who is on the home study track has to do some tweaks for school records purposes.

The open high school, however, is a DepEd program that primarily aims to save several dropouts in the country. It is on the pilot stage and is called the EASE program or Easy and Affordable Secondary Education. I enrolled my son who only goes to class every Saturday. They are given modules in all subjects which they read, study and answer at home.

Some Inspiring Changes

His classmates are all school dropouts due to poverty. They are all overage students making my son the youngest (regular age for first year high school). He is not having the same fun like when he was in private school with some rich brat boys in town; but the experience is already giving him a lot of lessons.

He is now developing independence in studying. He would study in front of the computer googling for answers in his pre-tests. We start the day with physical exercises and the one-minute Super Brain Yoga I taught him. Sometimes he would complain of invoking for the angels' guidance but he is learning the power of prayer more.

We also have struggles at times, but it rarely happens (maybe once a week compared to our previous record of multiple times a day!). We both have learned how to let go of his anger. I would just remain silent, continue my work; while he would stay in his room or go out. After a few hours, he'd come near me and would start asking what to do next with the lessons.

The Beautiful Flower Unfolds

Last week, we did a coin bank intended for tithing and savings. This early, he is learning the value of tithing 10% of his allowance for humanitarian purposes. He is saving a lot (because he has minimal expenses at home where food is always accessible). His siblings are following suit.

Tala and I are now working on finding 20 kids for the open high school. We are inviting friends to sponsor one of these kids to shoulder the expenses on transportation, food, modules and honorarium of teachers. It would actually only cost you P1500 a month. You can also opt to give less than or more than that amount. As for Tala and the kids, their tithe will go to that purpose. I am also alloting 10% of my income for those kids.

If you also know anyone (your maid or neighbor, Silang area) who has not been into first year high school, please refer them to us. You wouldn't want your maid to remain maid for life, right? This is the best thing that you can do for them.

How to Insert Adsense in Your Blogger account

Today, I learned how to insert Google Adsense into my blog. I decided to make it a try after having some emails from someone promoting Adsense.

Here's how I did it.

  1. I signed up for an Adsense account at https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/
  2. Adsense requires a Google account; if you don't have one, just create one now. If you want to use another Google account for your Adsense account, that is also possible.
  3. If you already have a Google account and an Adsense account, sign in to your Blogger account.
  4. Click the Layout link on the Dashboard. Click Monetize tab. Choose from the options on that page which asks on your preference of the Ads location.
  5. Done. Preview your blog now and see the blog page.
Related ads will appear on that page. When someone clicks on the ad, you earn from it. For more details on earning using Adsense, click on your Help resources inside Adsense.

Happy blogging!
